Are items sold on Designers Exchange 100% genuine or authentic?

We are in the business for 18 years and is equipped with the knowledge to verify the major brands such as Hermes/Chanel and Louis Vuitton etc. We guarantee authenticity of all items sold by Designers Exchange or 100% full refund.  In the event if we have any doubt on the authenticity of any pre-owned piece, we will not accept. Designers Exchange is not affiliated with these brand names.

Are these pre-owned items cleaned or reconditioned?

Generally, we do basic cleaning and conditioning of the exterior and the interior, including polishing hardware before putting up for sale. This is for basic care and hygiene purposes.

Do items come with original packaging and boutique receipt?

We state whatever each item come with in the description of each listing. For almost all brand new high ticket items such as Hermes Birkin & Kelly, they will be accompanied by Hermes receipt or Hermes Spa receipt. Hermes brand new items are usually sourced and purchased personally by ourselves from the boutiques worldwide.

Are the images shown on your website of the actual items for sales?

Yes. We only use images of the actual items took by ourselves especially for the pre-loved pieces to reflect the actual condition of each item. There are times we use stock/publicised pictures eg. From magazines or forums to show the trend or amplify the chic image projected when carrying certain designer item, we will state the source when possible.

Can I be notified when a particular desired item is available?

Yes. You can send in the request by filling up the ‘contact us’ form when certain item you desire is unavailable. If the item you are looking for is not stated on the website, you may wish to email us at livingroom1001@yahoo.com.sg and we will be happy to assist you from there.”

Do I have to pay duties?
For international buyers, please note that duties/import taxes are responsibility of buyers.


Do you offer layaway?
Yes. Please email or contact us for the process. Generally, the layaway period is relative to the price of the item. The higher the value, the longer period is allowed.

Shipping and Returns

 

Is signature required upon delivery?

Due to the high ticket items are involved, we will require a signature upon delivery for all orders over $500.

 

Do you ship to international destinations?

We ship worldwide except P O Boxes/Africa/South America.

 

What is your return policy?

All sale is final unless authenticity is proven otherwise. In an event a return is necessary and agreed by us, please ensure you have a return number case from us, before shipping.  When shipping, please ensure this case number is stated on the invoice/despatch note.

 

Do I have to use your return label?

No. You are not required to use our return label to ship back an item. If you choose not to use our label, you are responsible for your own shipping cost. We do not reimburse return shipping costs.

 

How long does it take to process a return?

Within 10 business days upon receiving your returned merchandise in its original condition as received, we will issue a refund.
